CHROMAKOPIA is the culmination of the hip hop infused neo-soul Tyler has been developing since IGOR. Quite a lot of style from the previous record CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST is expanded on, which is very welcome given that it was a project that was personally very middling to me and had an aesthetic i felt wasn't played to the potential it had. A lot of tracks have a tropical and smooth vibe with psych touches, my favorites being Darling, I, Judge Judy, and Take Your Mask Off.

What really makes this record stand out so much is the few cuts in-between that are instead harsh and explosive in a way that sometimes feel straight out of Cherry Bomb. This dichotomy helps the pacing greatly and stops a lot of tracks from melting together and makes them stand out really well.
